For the first time, this exhibition will formally document the rich and mulit-faceted history of Mediterranean Gardens. Discover the groundbreaking work of J.P. Travis II and his influence on the post-war American skyline, delve into the innovative bioclimatic architectural research of Olgyay + Olgyay, and explore the neighborhood’s distinctive homes crafted by visionary architects. Preserving Tomorrow chronicles the fascinating yet forgotten story in architectural history and provides valuable insights into sustainable design and engineering practices for contemporary audiences. This exhibition paints a vivid picture of a neighborhood that has left an enduring mark on Dallas’ architectural heritage and demonstrates the the architect’s value in designing spaces where individuals and communities can thrive.
